Marc Mihal – 17U White – Assistant Coach

Marc has been playing Volleyball for over 35 years. Like most kids, he was first introduced to volleyball in Grade 7. He was a setter from grade 7 through today, but in high school also trained as a middle. After high school, Marc decided that he would try college, and NAIT was the destination. Starting off the year as a setter, it was decided mid-season that he was destined for the middle position. Only one year of college and work called.

Throughout the years, Marc has been a part of many incredible teams and he has played with and against Alberta’s best. In the first year that Beach Volleyball was introduced to the Alberta summer games, he won gold. Silver at CO-ED Nationals, Silver at Master Provincials, 14 League championships in both men’s and co-ed divisions. During this time, he started to delve in coaching helping out at NAIT, Kings College, and Grant McEwan playing against both men’s and women’s teams.

He looks forward to his first year working with Park to build on a successful program that is fun and challenging for the athletes.
